Technical Questions

How do I download my sheet music?

You can download your sheet music in three ways: immediately after checkout, from your order confirmation email, or through your customer account at any time.

1. Immediately after checkout:

  • On the order-confirmation page, find the box that says “Your Sheet Music Is Ready!”
  • Click “Download Sheet Music.”
  • You’ll see each digital file included with your purchase.
  • Click “View/Download” beside each file you want to download.
  • Depending on your browser, the PDF will either open in a new window or be saved to your device.

2. From your order confirmation email:

  • Open the order confirmation email from Zach James Music that was sent immediately after checkout to the email address used at checkout.
  • Click “View/Download your order.”
  • Click “View/Download” beside each sheet-music file.
  • Save this email as the download link never expires.

3. To access your downloads later:

  • Visit ZachJamesMusic.com and click the account icon near the top-right corner.
  • Enter the same email address you used when placing your order.
  • Click “Continue with email.”
  • A six-digit sign-in code will be sent to your email. Enter that code when prompted—no password is required.
  • Open “Downloadable Orders” and select the appropriate order.
  • Click “Access Downloads,” followed by “View/Download” beside the file you need.

Download links never expire and your purchased files will always remain available through your customer account, so by pulling up your order confirmation email or logging into your account, you can return and download them again at anytime.

If you've attempted to download your sheet music using these three methods and are still having trouble, feel free to send me an email via my contact page. I'm limited in how much I can help from a distance, but I'll do my best.

How do I print my sheet music?

Your sheet music is provided as a PDF file and can be printed from either a computer or a mobile device on standard 8.5 x 11 printer paper.

Printing from a computer:

  • Locate the downloaded PDF in your computer’s Downloads folder (or wherever you selected it be downloaded).
  • Double-click the file to open it in your computer’s PDF viewer, such as Preview on a Mac or Adobe Acrobat on a PC.
  • Select File → Print from the menu at the top of the screen. You can also press Command + P on a Mac or Ctrl + P on a PC.
  • Select the printer you want to use.
  • Choose the number of copies and whether you want to print all pages or only selected pages.
  • Set the paper size to US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches).
  • Select Portrait orientation.
  • Choose Scale to Fit and Print Entire Image. This ensures that all of the music fits within the printable area without anything being cut off.
  • Leave Copies per page set to 1.
  • Review the preview to make sure every page appears correctly.
  • Click Print.

You may also choose two-sided printing if your printer supports those options and you would like to put the pages into a binder.

Printing from an iPhone or iPad:

  • Open your Files app.
  • Click the Browse button at the bottom.
  • Click the Search bar and type in the name of the arrangement.
  • Click the file.
  • Tap the Share icon—the square with an upward-pointing arrow.
  • Select Print from the available options.
  • Tap Printer and select the printer you want to use. Make sure settings are the same as those listed above.
  • Review the page previews at the bottom of the screen to make sure every page appears correctly.
  • Tap the printer icon in the upper-right corner to begin printing.

Your phone or tablet must be able to connect to the printer wirelessly for mobile printing.

It is common for there to be connectivity or compatibility issues when printing from a mobile device. If you're still having issues with it after following these steps, I would suggest printing from a computer. Your download links never expire, so you can easily access and download them again to another device at anytime.

If you're having issues printing from a computer after following the steps outlined here, feel free to send me an email via my contact page. I'm limited in how much I can help from a distance, but I'll do my best.

Where do I enter a discount code? (The discount code isn't working!)

Discount codes are entered during the checkout process. Please make sure you spell them correctly. The case does not matter, but the spelling and the spacing do. Also, if the discount code worked, you'll see the discount applied to the total. If you don't see the discount applied to the total, then it won't be applied when you complete the order.

On a computer, the discount code is entered in the box on the right hand side of the screen just above where the cart total is listed.

On a mobile device, the discount code box is accessed by clicking either the "Order summary" dropdown at the top of the page...

...or by clicking the "Add discount" button at the bottom of the page next to the cart total

Common reasons discount codes don't work

  • Discount code was misspelled. While the letter case doesn't matter, the spaces and spelling do. Make sure you're spelling them exactly as given. Or better yet, copy and paste it.
  • Discount code expired. Discount codes for new arrangements, featured arrangements, seasonal items, or new product launches are only available for a limited time. These codes are always announced alongside an expiration date that takes effect at 11:59pm EST on the date listed.
  • You're not an email subscriber. Discount codes for free giveaways, new arrangements, featured arrangements, seasonal items, or new product launches are almost always exclusively available to email subscribers. If you're receiving emails from me on Fridays (and sometimes Tuesdays), you're an email subscriber. If you're not receiving those emails or have recently unsubscribed, then any email-subscriber-only discount code is not going to work. You can become an email subscriber for free by filling out the form on this page. If you are an email subscriber and the discount code is still not working, check that you're using the same email address during the checkout as the one that is on the email list.
  • Attempting to use more than one discount code. Unfortunately, my system does not allow the use of more than one discount code at a time. If you're attempting to purchase, say, two pieces of sheet music that each have their own discount code, you may need to purchase each one separately. Because my digital downloads don't have shipping associated with them, it doesn't end up costing you any more to do this, it's just incovenient.
  • Attempting to use the same discount code twice. Sometimes people forget that they've purchased something from me with a particular discount code, particularly the free download I offer as an email signup incentive. Log into your account on my website here (no password required) to make sure you haven't already used that code before.

If after checking the previous conditions, the discount code is still not working for you, feel free to email me via my contact page.
